Session 2: College-Prep Strategies and College-Planning Strategies

  • College applications/essays
  • Understanding Financial Aid
  • Test Preparation
  • Transition from high school to college
  • Accommodations for special needs
  • Selecting a major
  • Understanding General Education requirements and selecting courses strategically and meaningfully
  • Choosing electives purposefully
  • Choosing a minor
  • Clubs and activities
  • Courses to take for those “not going to college”

FEES

Cost for the full workshop is $100/person. The cost for attending one of the sessions is $65.

WORKSHOP LEADERS

Dr. Greg Stratman, who in 35 years as a teacher and administrator for multiple post-secondary institutions, has worked with every student demographic and has helped thousands of students navigate the world of academics, especially at the college level.

Wes Stratman, a ten-year veteran of math instruction and ACT test preparation, has taught and tutored math subjects from pre-algebra to AP calculus, and understands the strategies for success in math coursework, as well as proven strategies for improving ACT scores.
